Cracking the RICS Code – the management manual for residential leasehold property (webinar recording)
Recorded in February 2013
Approved by government, the RICS code (the Code) is not just for RICS qualified surveyors. It is a vital source of guidance for anyone involved in building management.
It contains mandatory requirements as well as best practice on the management of residential leasehold properties. Additionally, its requirements are often taken into account and used in evidence in LVT proceedings, particularly those relating to service charge disputes and applications for the appointment of a manager.
This webinar is highly recommended to all those concerned with property management, but will be of particular interest to:
- Managing agents
- Owners and occupiers
- Right to Manage and Resident Management Companies
By the end of this webinar you should know:
- The duties and conduct required by the Code
- Best practice for budgeting/estimating and dealing with contractors
- How to approach disputes between occupiers
- When to use the Code and how
The presentation lasts 60 minutes followed by 30 minutes Q+A
Survey comments from webinar participants:
